About
Step into the delightful world of Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater, a Minneapolis gem located at 810 W Lake St. This vibrant venue masterfully blends the excitement of bowling with the charm of live theater, all while serving up a mouthwatering menu of delicious eats and refreshing drinks. Revered for its vintage vibes, this destination offers a cozy atmosphere where fun and nostalgia collide.
As a food reviewer at Foodjoyy, I was thrilled to uncover the culinary treasures that Bryant Lake Bowl has to offer. The food, which impressively holds its own years after its feature on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives back in 2008, showcases a unique range of options that go beyond typical bowling alley fare. Customers rave about the excellent food and service, highlighting the fun vibe that permeates the establishment. One patron, m28us41, reminisced about their long-awaited visit, expressing a desire to bowl next time – a sentiment echoed by several others who appreciate the varied offerings.
The dining experience at Bryant Lake transcends ordinary expectations. As Nevi Gign shared, the convenience of having food and drinks served directly to your seat during a show upholds the venue’s commitment to providing a pleasurable experience. Imagine indulging in delightful dishes while enjoying live performances in the intimate setting of a quaint theater. The service complements the experience, as cited by satisfied customers who appreciated the friendly staff and thoughtful attentiveness.
Adding to the uniqueness of Bryant Lake Bowl, Hank Zane commended its wide array of fun options—from bowling to a cool bar atmosphere. Whether you seek a thrilling night out or a laid-back meal, this spot has it all. On top of the entertainment, their regular events like the “Cheap Date” Monday nights make it a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. As Megan Nobles pointed out, the vintage bowling lanes provide a nostalgic charm that enhances the overall experience.
In conclusion, Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater stands out not only for its exciting activities but also for its commitment to delightful food and excellent service. Whether you’re catching a show or aiming for a strike, this vibrant venue should be at the top of your list when exploring the culinary landscape of Minneapolis. Don't miss the opportunity to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy a dish or two—your taste buds will thank you!
“ I've been wanting to come to this triple DDD for a long time. It first aired on Diners Drive-Ins and dives in 2008. Food still holds up. I wish I would have had time to go bowling. ”
“ Wow-the whole enchilada here: fun vibe, excellent food & service and a cool historic/vintage flavor. Tight table configuration but it adds to the coziness of our visit & meal. p.s. to my non-native Minnesotans: there is no “Lake Bryant” in the vicinity. It’s located in the Lake Street & Bryant Avenue area. ”
“ Was here on Sunday night for a show. It wasn't too busy nor was it too empty either. Theatre seating was comfortable and it's nice to have your food and drinks brought to you. Pleasant vibe overall. Server (blonde dude) was awesome at his job. Drinks were delicious. Food quality was alright - but I like the variety of options considering this is a bowling alley. Will plan on coming back for future shows and to try out the bowling alley! ”
“ Really cool place with lots of options for fun - including food, drinks bowling. I was staying across the street and found this location to be the perfect spot! Lots to do in this area but this spot is perfect when you don’t want to walk down to Lyndale I didn’t bowl at this time but would definitely recommend this activity to anyone in this Uptown area looking for excitement. Monday nights have a good deal they call “Cheap Date” so take advantage ”
“ So cute, so classic! It's tiny, so if you stop by, be prepared for that, but it is such a fun vibe with the vintage lanes! Everyone in the twin cities should check it out at some point! ”
“ I love coming here with my boyfriend! They have such a diverse menu. My favorite is the Pad Thai! It’s so flavorful, and it’s a huge portion. The tofu in it is so good. They also have great NA drink options. ”
“ This is a living history situation. The whole place is straight out of the 1950s. The restaurant part was comfortably packed, service was timely - not rushed. The menu exceeds expectations in variety and quantity, and the food is really good. The bowling lanes are interestingly original equipment, so expect to use the manual reset a few times. The lanes are a bit wonky, which adds character to the experience. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly. Great place for a family outing with older kids. ”
“ They don’t make it like this anymore. Amazing pork Pad Thai(I wish I would’ve taken photos before diving in), the bowling was cheap, beer was delicious and atmosphere was like stepping into a wonderful time capsule. ”
